Working on these projects proved to be both challenging and rewarding. The Maxwell Hall Addition & Remodeling project at Winona State University spanned multiple years, involved numerous university departments and government agencies, multiple contracts and General Contractors and every conceivable architectural and engineering service possible. The result was a total reorganization of student services and the method of delivering those services into a one-stop-shop or HUB where students could get assistance with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Records & Transcripts, Academic Advising and Graduation all in one location. Another part of the project involved establishing space for a brand new program – The National Child Protection Training Center. Here students would receive training that allows them to interface with various agencies and systems including health care, criminal justice and social services as they advocate on behalf of the needs of children as victims and survivors of child abuse. Multiple additional projects, too numerous to identify, were completed with the Rochester Public School district performing deferred maintenance work such as window replacement, reroofing, indoor air quality, commercial kitchen remodeling’s, gymnasium and classroom flooring replacement and mechanical or electrical systems upgrades.
